OCEAN: "Live at the Towbar, Nethertown 25th August 1972"
Ocean was formed in late 1970 including Kevin Dennis on bass but by February 1971 Kevin Dennis had left and Kev Farish took over on bass. Sometime later, Tony Bell joined as roadie and the follwing line-up remained for the rest of the band's existence:

The band played most of the pubs and clubs in West Cumberland (as it was then!). Some of the press ads are shown on the CD cover. The band members finally went their separate ways in the autumn of 1972, when they all went off to various universities and colleges. Check out the Ocean website for more information about the band.
The recording captured on this CD was originally made by a friend of the band, Mike Forest, on a Philips cassette recorder, using only a stereo pair of microphones. The quality is pretty good, considering the rather primitive (by today's standards) equipment used.
